
The Sole Administrator for Rivers State Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), has arrived in the state to officially commence his duties. Ibas landed at the Port Harcourt International Airport at approximately 11:25 am on Thursday, where he was warmly received by senior state officials and security personnel.
Accompanied by Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, and the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 16, Ibas proceeded to the Government House, Port Harcourt, immediately after his arrival.
Upon reaching the Government House, Ibas was escorted by government officials and is currently engaged in a closed-door meeting with senior security officers, representatives from the Federal Government, and state government officials. This meeting comes as part of his new role following his swearing-in by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday.
