Senior Naval Officer Stabbed to Death by Suspected Phone Thieves in Kaduna

In a tragic incident in Kaduna North Local Government Area, Kaduna State, a senior Naval officer was brutally stabbed to death by suspected phone thieves. The victim, identified as Commodore M. Buba, was attacked at the Kawo bus stop beneath the Kawo flyover.

According to eyewitnesses, Commodore Buba, who was returning from the Armed Forces and Command Staff College in Jaji, had a flat tire when he was accosted by a group of hoodlums intent on robbing him of his mobile phone and valuables. The attackers reportedly stabbed him during the robbery attempt.

The wounded officer was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival. His body was subsequently taken to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital.

In a swift turn of events, a mob gathered at the scene of the attack, overpowered one of the assailants, and reportedly lynched him in a bid to deliver vigilante justice.

Authorities from both the police and military have yet to release an official statement regarding the attack, as investigations continue.

This heartbreaking event has sparked outrage across the community, highlighting growing concerns over security in Kaduna and the safety of military personnel off duty.
