Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Cast Votes in Lagos LG Elections

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has cast his vote in the ongoing local government elections across the state.

The Governor, accompanied by his wife Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, arrived at their polling units 06 and 07 located at St. Stephen Nursery and Primary School, Adeniji Adele Road, Lagos Island, at about 11:00 a.m. He cast his vote at exactly 11:28 a.m.

Similarly, Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat voted earlier at his polling centre in Oke-Balogun, Epe, at 11:05 a.m.

The elections are being held to fill chairmanship, vice-chairmanship, and councillorship positions in all 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) across the state.

Election observers noted generally low voter turnout in parts of Lagos, though voting processes were reported to be largely peaceful.
