Rwanda Name Final 24-Man Squad for World Cup Qualifier Against Nigeria

Rwanda head coach, Adel Amrouche, has released his final 24-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria and Zimbabwe.

Amrouche initially unveiled a 27-man provisional list last week, but Claude Smith Kayinbanda, Djabilu Ishimwe, and David Niyo were dropped from the traveling party.

The Amavubi began preparations for the crucial fixtures on Monday, with 20 players departing Kigali International Airport for Lagos on Tuesday morning. They are expected to connect another flight to Uyo later in the day.

Phanuel Kavita, Bonheur Mugisha, Jojea Kwizera, and Clement Buhake will link up with the rest of the team in Uyo.

Rwanda currently sit second in Group C with eight points from six matches. They face the Super Eagles in a matchday seven encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday.
