Russian Missile Strike on Zelensky’s Hometown Kills Three

A Russian missile strike on a hotel in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s hometown of Kryvyi Rih overnight has resulted in three deaths and 31 injuries, with nearly half of the wounded in serious condition, authorities reported on Thursday.
Dnipropetrovsk region Governor Sergiy Lysak confirmed the casualties, offering condolences to the victims’ families. “Three people died in Kryvyi Rih due to the night missile attack… sincere condolences to the relatives,” he said. “There are 31 injured… 14 are in serious condition.”
The attack caused extensive damage, hitting the hotel, 14 apartment buildings, a post office, nearly two dozen cars, a cultural institution, and 12 shops, authorities added.
In addition to the strike in Kryvyi Rih, officials reported that a security guard was killed in a separate attack on a warehouse in Sumy, located further north.
Kryvyi Rih, situated about 70 kilometers (43 miles) from the front line, had a population of over 600,000 before the war.
