Monterrey defender Sergio Ramos has backed Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé to win the Ballon d’Or multiple times over the course of his career.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Ramos—who shared the pitch with Mbappé during their time together at Paris Saint-Germain between 2021 and 2023—expressed confidence in the Frenchman’s ability to dominate world football for years to come.
In his debut season with Real Madrid, Mbappé has already enjoyed considerable success. The 26-year-old helped the club win the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup, while delivering an outstanding individual performance throughout the campaign.
Mbappé scored 43 goals in 56 appearances, setting a new record at the Santiago Bernabéu and clinching the prestigious European Golden Shoe.
“If it were up to me, I think Kylian would have the peace of mind of taking home four or five Ballons d’Or in five or 10 years,” Ramos said.
“He has the talent. Even if Madrid didn’t have a year full of titles, he had a great season and showed that he was a player of this level.”
