President Tinubu to Embark on Short Working Visit to Paris

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart for Paris, France, on Wednesday for a short working visit, according to a statement from the Presidency.

The statement, signed by Tinubu’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, revealed that the primary focus of the visit is for the President to evaluate his administration’s mid-term performance and review key milestones. During the visit, Tinubu will also assess the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning as his administration approaches its second anniversary.

The period of reflection is intended to shape future plans to further deepen reforms and fast-track national development goals in the coming year. Onanuga emphasized that recent economic achievements, such as the Central Bank of Nigeria’s report of a significant increase in the country’s net foreign exchange reserves from $3.99 billion in 2023 to $23.11 billion demonstrate the success of Tinubu’s fiscal reforms.

While in Paris, President Tinubu will remain engaged with his team, continuing to oversee governance activities. He is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.
