Reality TV star and former BBNaija winner Phyna has revealed she is open to reconciling with Afrobeats singer Davido, nearly two years after their public disagreement on social media.
The dispute dates back to October 2023, when Davido liked a post on X that described Phyna’s fans in derogatory terms. The action triggered backlash, prompting Phyna to question the singer’s intent and sparking a heated online exchange.
At the height of the controversy, Davido claimed he did not know who Phyna was, a remark that further intensified reactions from fans and observers.
Speaking during a recent Twitch livestream, Phyna said she is willing to apologise publicly to the singer and move past the incident. However, she stressed that reconciliation must be preceded by a clearer understanding of what led to the fallout.
According to her, hearing Davido’s perspective would help resolve lingering misunderstandings surrounding the incident. She explained that she wants confirmation on whether the action that sparked the dispute was accidental or misinterpreted.
Phyna added that despite the hierarchy in the entertainment industry, she is prepared to take responsibility and make peace, once both sides have had the opportunity to address the issue openly and bring closure to the disagreement.
