PETROAN Applauds NNPCL’s Petrol Price Cut as a Relief for Nigerians

The Petroleum Retailers Outlets Owners Association (PETROAN) has commended the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) for reducing the price of petrol. On Monday, NNPCL announced a decrease in its retail price from N965 to N880 per litre in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

PETROAN’s National President, Billy Gillis-Harry, welcomed the price reduction, stating that it would offer significant relief to many Nigerians grappling with economic challenges. He noted that the price cut would have a positive effect on the lives of citizens, particularly those struggling with the high cost of living.

The NNPCL price adjustment follows a similar move by Dangote Refinery on February 28, 2025, which also lowered the petrol price to N880 per litre at MRS filling stations and other partner outlets.
