Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has shared his predictions for the remainder of the Premier League season, tipping Chelsea to finish above Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the league standings. Merson also expressed confidence that Arsenal could secure the title “easily” if they manage their squad effectively.
Currently, Arsenal lead the Premier League table, followed by Manchester City in second and Chelsea in third after 13 matches. Speaking to Sportskeeda, Merson said, “I can’t see anybody touching Arsenal at the top of the [Premier League] table. If Arsenal can look after their players well, I think they can easily win the league this season. Looking at Chelsea’s squad, they surely have it in them to finish above Manchester City this season.”
Merson’s assessment highlights the current strength of Arsenal’s squad while suggesting that Chelsea possess the quality to overtake City, despite the Manchester club’s reputation for consistency under Guardiola.
