Paris FC Bid Farewell to Nnadozie as Nigeria Star Eyes Next Move

French women’s club Paris FC have officially confirmed the departure of Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.

The 24-year-old joined Paris FC in 2025 from Nigerian Women Football League (NWFL) side Rivers Angels and quickly rose to prominence, becoming Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper during her time in France. She is widely regarded as the best goalkeeper in Africa.

Paris FC took to social media to bid an emotional farewell to Nnadozie, acknowledging her contributions both on and off the pitch.

“Merci, Chiamaka! From your first save to your last stand in Parisian colours, you’ve inspired a generation. You leave as a champion, a leader, and forever a part of the Paris FC family. Bonne chance for your next chapter!” the club wrote.

Nnadozie’s time at Paris FC culminated in a major achievement last month when she helped the team lift the Coupe de France Féminine—her only major silverware with the club. She was also named the best goalkeeper in the French Women’s League for the 2023/24 season.

Amid growing interest, Nnadozie has been linked with a potential move to English Women’s Super League side Everton.

She is also expected to be Nigeria’s starting goalkeeper at the upcoming 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next month.
