Pakistan Closes Airspace Amid Escalating Tensions with India

Pakistan has shut down its airspace to all civilian and military flights until Sunday at 12:00 PM local time, following a series of Indian missile strikes on key military installations, including the Nur Khan Airbase near Islamabad.

The closure was announced after India launched “Operation Sindoor,” targeting multiple Pakistani airbases in response to alleged Pakistani drone incursions and attacks on Indian-administered Kashmir and Punjab.

In retaliation, Pakistan initiated “Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos,” striking Indian military sites, including a missile storage facility.

The escalating conflict has resulted in significant casualties on both sides and has drawn international concern. The United States, China, and the G7 have urged both nations to de-escalate and engage in diplomatic dialogue.

The situation remains volatile, with both countries maintaining high alert statuses and the international community closely monitoring developments.
