Ozoemena, Taiwo Return to Training as Super Eagles Step Up Preparations for Sudan Clash

Goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena and left-back Abdularafiu Taiwo returned to light training on Thursday as the home-based Super Eagles ramped up preparations for their upcoming clash against Sudan.
Ozoemena was sidelined for Nigeria’s opening Group D match against Senegal at the 2024 African Nations Championship on Tuesday due to a knee injury.
However, the former Enyimba goalkeeper may now be in contention to feature against Sudan.
Taiwo, on the other hand, missed the team’s recovery session on Wednesday after sustaining a knock during the Senegal encounter. He was substituted around the 60th minute, with Harrison Uzondu coming on in his place.
Nigeria, under the guidance of Eric Chelle, will face Sudan next Tuesday at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar.
