Oyo FA Summons Broadcaster Over Match-Fixing Allegations Against Shooting Stars

The Oyo State Football Association (OYSFA) has summoned Yoruba sports broadcaster and Prince FM 88.7 employee, Shola Ayegbajeje, following his public accusations of match-fixing involving Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Shooting Stars.

Ayegbajeje alleged that the team manipulated results in matches against Lobi Stars, Katsina United, and Remo Stars.

Both Ayegbajeje and Shooting Stars chairman, Babatunde Olaniyan David ‘Akoro’, have been directed to appear before the association on Monday, May 5, at 12 p.m., at the OYSFA office located within the Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Adamasingba, Ibadan. The summons was issued by OYSFA Secretary Kehinde Ojelowo.

Shooting Stars have failed to secure a win in their last five NPFL fixtures and currently sit in 11th place on the league table with 48 points.
