Oxlade Urges Artists to Invest in Vocal Coaching for Better Live Performances
Afrobeats singer Oxlade has encouraged performing artists to prioritise vocal development, urging them to invest in vocal coaching to strengthen their live performance abilities.
In a post shared on X, the singer highlighted the importance of being able to deliver quality performances without relying heavily on sound engineers or digital audio tools. He noted that while technology plays a major role in music production, it is not always available during live shows.
According to Oxlade, working with a vocal coach can significantly improve an artist’s confidence and performance quality. He added that for those who may not be able to afford professional coaching, online tutorials offer a practical alternative for improving vocal technique.
The singer stressed that artists must be prepared to rely on their natural voice when performing, especially in situations where digital audio workstations or technical support are absent.
Oxlade concluded by urging musicians to see vocal training as an investment in themselves, noting that strong vocals remain one of the most valuable assets in a successful music career.
