A new prediction model has projected where Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and other Premier League clubs are expected to finish at the end of the current campaign.
Arsenal, who presently sit at the top of the Premier League standings ahead of Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United, have been backed to maintain their lead until the final day of the season.
According to a report, an Opta Supercomputer has simulated the remainder of the campaign and delivered its end-of-season verdict. The analytics tool forecasts that Arsenal will emerge champions with 81 points, placing them nine points ahead of Manchester City, who are tipped to finish in second place.
Chelsea are predicted to end the season in third position with 66 points, while Liverpool are expected to claim the final top-four spot despite their inconsistent form.
Aston Villa and Brighton reportedly complete the top six in the Supercomputer’s final table projection.
Manchester United, however, are expected to finish in the top half but outside the European places. The model places them in 10th position with 54 points – only marginally above Brentford. Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are both projected to finish ahead of Erik ten Hag’s side, in seventh and eighth place respectively.
