Ondo guber: INEC begins distribution of 55,859 PVCs

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has successfully distributed 55,859 permanent voter cards (PVCs) in preparation for the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State.

National Commissioner Sam Olumekun announced this development in a statement on Tuesday.

The PVCs were made available for collection over five days across all 203 wards in the state, with voters encouraged to pick up their cards directly from local government offices. INEC emphasized that cards cannot be collected by proxy.

According to Olumekun, 62.2% of the 89,777 PVCs available were collected during this period, marking the highest percentage of PVCs collected in a five-day span since the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) began in 2015. A detailed breakdown of the collection by local government areas has been shared on INEC’s website and social media.

Collection will continue in the 18 local government offices in Ondo State from Wednesday, October 23, to Tuesday, October 29, 2024, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm daily, including weekends.

For more information on the locations of the offices, voters are directed to visit INEC’s website.
