Ondo Election: INEC opens portal for online accreditation of media organisations

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has launched its online portal for the accreditation of media organizations and journalists covering the upcoming Ondo State governorship election, scheduled for November 16, 2024.

In a statement released on Monday, Sam Olumekun, INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, announced that the accreditation portal is now live. The portal will remain open for applications until midnight on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

Media outlets wishing to deploy reporters and technical staff for election coverage must submit their applications through the dedicated portal at [https://imap.inecnigeria.org](https://imap.inecnigeria.org).

This step is crucial to ensure that all media personnel are properly accredited to cover the election process effectively.
