Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has named midfielder Olamilekan Adedayo as the club’s Player of the Season, following his decisive performance in securing their historic Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.
Adedayo scored the only goal in Remo Stars’ 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes on Sunday, a strike that clinched the club’s first-ever NPFL championship. The midfielder finished the campaign with six goals, playing a pivotal role in their title run.
“Yes and yes,” Ogunmodede responded with a smile when asked if Adedayo was the team’s standout performer this season.
While celebrating the momentous achievement, Ogunmodede declined to discuss the club’s strategy for next season. However, he assured fans that Remo Stars will continue to build on their success.
“I won’t like to talk about that for now. Let me just enjoy the moment. Maybe in the next few weeks we can talk about that,” he said.
“But trust me, we will always be one step ahead of what we have always been. We can’t lose our guards as a club. The structure we have tried to lay will always be.”
