WTO Director-General Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Tems have been named among the 2025 100 Most Notable Peace Icons in Africa.

The list, unveiled at a press conference in Abuja, features influential Africans from various fields who have contributed to peace and development across the continent. Others on the list include Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah, Nigerian businessman Femi Oyetola, and Zimbabwe’s Finance Minister Prof. Mthuli Ncube.

Project Director, Amb. Kingsley Amafibe, said the honorees were recognized for their humanitarian work, community impact, and commitment to youth empowerment.
