The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has approved Wednesday, November 26, 2025, as the kick-off date for the new season.
The announcement was made at the end of the NWFL’s Annual General Assembly held on Wednesday in Port Harcourt.
According to the organisers, the 2025/26 campaign will be played in a two-group format, featuring a total of 20 teams.
Defending champions, Bayelsa Queens, have been placed in Group A, while runners-up, Nasarawa Amazons, will compete in Group B.
Meanwhile, Sunshine Queens, Castmog Ladies, Imo Queens, and Ahudiyannem Queens are set to make their debut appearance in the league this season.
