The National Sports Commission (NSC) has announced that a live concert will be held on Monday night at Eagles Square, Abuja, in honour of the victorious Super Falcons.
The celebration is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM and will feature performances by top Nigerian celebrities, aimed at entertaining both the team and their enthusiastic supporters. The event is part of a broader national celebration following the Super Falcons’ dramatic 3-2 victory over the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco in Saturday’s WAFCON final at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
The team, alongside their officials, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Monday afternoon to a rousing welcome. They were received by Governors Hope Uzodinma (Imo), Uba Sani (Kano), Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), and several other dignitaries. Large crowds of Nigerians also gathered at the airport to celebrate the team’s homecoming and show appreciation for their outstanding achievement.
