Arsenal forward Noni Madueke has publicly backed his club, naming them as the team capable of winning both the Premier League and the Champions League titles this season.
The Gunners are currently leading the race for the Premier League title and have practically secured their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League. Madueke himself contributed significantly to their European success on Wednesday night, scoring a brace alongside a superb strike from Gabriel Martinelli against Club Brugge. This result ensured that Arsenal maintains its perfect 100 percent winning record in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Last season, the Gunners reached the semi-finals before falling to eventual winners PSG. However, the team appears to pose an even greater threat in Europe this term.
Speaking after Arsenal’s victory over Club Brugge, Madueke voiced his strong conviction that the Gunners possess the capability to go the entire distance and claim both major titles this season. He asserted that Arsenal represents the best team competing in both competitions, noting their current two-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
When the England international and former Chelsea player was asked what he believed Arsenal could achieve this season, Madueke stated:
“We’re fighting on all fronts. “I feel like we can win this competition and win the league, that has to be the aim. We’re in a good place at the moment.”
