The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced an immediate revision of the pricing structure for all its services, following a comprehensive review aimed at aligning with current economic realities and industry standards.
In a statement issued on Thursday and signed by Kayode Adegoke, Head of Corporate Communications, NIMC said the new pricing framework is designed to balance operational sustainability with affordability for Nigerians.
While the commission did not specify whether the new rates represent an increase or decrease, it noted that the full breakdown of the revised charges will be available on its official website www.nimc.gov.ng starting Friday.
The agency emphasized that the changes are part of efforts to maintain the quality and integrity of its national identity services, which have seen growing demand across the country.
“NIMC has conducted a thorough review to ensure that our services remain both efficient and accessible,” the statement read. “We urge all Front-End Partners (FEPs) to strictly adhere to the new pricing regime. Any violation, especially overcharging, will attract strict sanctions, including revocation of licenses.”
The commission also encouraged members of the public to report any instances of inflated charges by FEPs. Reports can be submitted to NIMC’s Inspectorate and Enforcement Unit via ieu@nimc.gov.ng or by calling 0815 501 5388.
Director-General Abisoye Coker-Odusote expressed appreciation to Nigerians, government institutions, and stakeholders for their ongoing support. She also extended special thanks to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and NIMC staff for their role in strengthening Nigeria’s national identity infrastructure.
As of February 28, 2025, total enrollment for the National Identification Number (NIN) had reached 117,361,324, according to the commission’s latest figures released earlier in April.
