The acclaimed footballer formally accepted the prestigious accolade during an elaborate awards ceremony held on Wednesday night. The organizers specifically acknowledged the Nigeria international’s exceptional contribution to Galatasaray’s domestic double triumph during the last season.
The 26-year-old sensation delivered a statistically dominant campaign for the Yellow and Reds, recording a phenomenal 37 goals and seven assists across all competitions.
Osimhen continues his prolific form into the current term, having already registered 11 goals in just 14 appearances for manager Okan Buruk’s side this season. He now stands as the first Nigerian to secure this esteemed award.
