Nigerian Skit Maker Mr. Sanku Comedy Dies in Oyo Road Accident
The rising comedian, known for his unique storytelling style, died hours after a crash along the Oyo-Ogbomoso road.

Nigerian content creator and skit maker, Raji Samad Adetola, popularly known as Mr Sanku Comedy, has died following a fatal accident in Oyo State.
The crash occurred in the early hours of Monday along the Oyo-Ogbomoso road, near Ibadan. According to eyewitness accounts circulating on social media, the vehicle he was traveling in veered off the road and plunged into a ditch.
Sanku, who was in the car with a friend, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts by medical personnel, both men were pronounced dead hours later.
The 20-something-year-old entertainer gained recognition for his distinct brand of comedy and storytelling, which endeared him to fans since he began content creation in 2021. His short skits and humorous delivery earned him a loyal following across social media platforms.
Tributes have poured in since news of his passing broke. Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa expressed her grief on Instagram, recalling how she had sent one of her students living near Bowen Hospital to check on him. She said she was initially told he was responding to treatment, but he later succumbed to his injuries despite prayers for recovery.
Fans, colleagues, and fellow creators have since flooded social media with messages mourning the loss of the young comedian whose career was only just beginning to flourish.
