Netanyahu says has nominated Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he has nominated U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, presenting him with a letter addressed to the prize committee during a dinner at the White House.

“He’s forging peace as we speak—one country, one region after the other,” Netanyahu said.

Trump has been nominated several times for the Nobel Peace Prize by supporters and political allies, and he has openly expressed frustration over not receiving the award. The former president has previously claimed he was unfairly overlooked for his efforts to mediate tensions between India and Pakistan, and Serbia and Kosovo.

He has also argued that he deserves recognition for helping maintain peace between Egypt and Ethiopia and for brokering the Abraham Accords, which normalized relations between Israel and several Arab nations.

During his campaigns, Trump portrayed himself as a dealmaker who could bring an end to global conflicts. However, wars in Ukraine and Gaza have continued for over five months into his current term in office.
