Awoniyi announces amicable split from the 'Soso' hitmaker, expresses support for the singer’s future path.

Prominent talent manager Muyiwa Awoniyi has officially ended his professional relationship with Nigerian singer Omah Lay.

Awoniyi made the announcement on Friday via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating that the decision to part ways was mutual and respectful. In his words, “With love and respect, I am no longer managing @Omah_Lay. That’s my brother and I wish him all the best in his endeavours for life!”

Although brief, the statement signaled a peaceful end to their partnership, with Awoniyi expressing continued goodwill towards the Boy Alone artist.

Known for managing Grammy-winning singer Tems, Awoniyi is a respected figure in the Nigerian music industry. He also previously handled the career of Nigerian-Canadian singer Nonso Amadi.

The news has drawn reactions from fans and industry insiders, many of whom praised both parties for handling the transition with maturity. Omah Lay has yet to release an official statement on the development.
