Marcus Rashford Hails Lamine Yamal’s Talent: “He’s Not Supposed to Be Doing This at 17

Newly acquired Barcelona forward Marcus Rashford has heaped praise on teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, remarking that the young talent is displaying skills far beyond his years.
Rashford, who is set to play alongside Yamal in the upcoming season after joining Barcelona on a season-long loan, made the comments during an interview with Spanish YouTuber xBuyer in Marbella.
Speaking about Yamal’s extraordinary talent, Rashford admitted that it is hard to articulate what the young winger is achieving at such a tender age, stating, “he’s not supposed to be doing that at 16 or 17 years old.”
The England international, who made his own senior debut at 18, expressed amazement at the level at which Yamal is already performing. “To see someone playing at the highest level at 17 is incredible. I don’t think we’ve seen anything like this before,” he said.
Looking ahead to the season, Rashford shared his excitement about teaming up with Yamal, both in the locker room and on the pitch. He added that the teenage prodigy is now so highly regarded that “every football star in the world wants to play with Yamal,” calling him “the best.”
