Manchester United Bounce Back with 3-1 Win Over Hong Kong in Postseason Finale

Manchester United ended their postseason tour on a high note with a 3-1 comeback victory over Hong Kong in their final friendly match on Friday.

The Red Devils found themselves behind early after Juninho opened the scoring for the hosts in the 20th minute. But United responded strongly after halftime, with Chido Obi leveling the score after finding space inside the box to fire home.

The promising youngster then completed his brace, putting United ahead before Ayden Heaven sealed the win with a well-taken goal in stoppage time.

The result offered a morale boost for Ruben Amorim’s side, who were heavily criticised and even booed off the pitch following a shock 1-0 defeat to the ASEAN All-Stars in Kuala Lumpur earlier in the week.

Friday’s match was played amid swirling uncertainty over the futures of key players Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho, both of whom have been the subject of intense transfer speculation.

Club captain Fernandes has been strongly linked with Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal, with reports suggesting the club could move to sign the Portugal international ahead of next month’s FIFA Club World Cup. Garnacho’s name has also surfaced in transfer talks, though no official offers have been confirmed.

As the Red Devils wrap up their Asian tour, all eyes now turn to the summer transfer window, which is expected to bring major changes to Amorim’s squad.
