Makinde Reappoints Aderibigbe as Oyo Civil Service Commission Chair, Names New Advisory Council Members

Oyo governor confirms fresh appointments to strengthen governance and institutional leadership in the state.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved the reappointment of Alhaji Aderibigbe Kamoru Abiodun as the Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission.

The governor also retained the services of Alhaji Kolajo Isiaq Adewale and Mr. Olutoyin Adedeji Akanmu as full-time members, and Chief Ogunjimi Solomon Oluwole as a part-time member of the commission.

Additionally, Pastor Taiwo Oluwagbemiro and Mr. Oladimeji Oladapo were appointed as new part-time members of the commission, signaling continuity and expansion in the leadership of the state’s civil service system.

A letter conveying the appointments and signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, also announced the inclusion of seasoned administrators into the Oyo State Advisory Council.

These include:

Alhaji Rasaki Gbadegesin, a former Deputy Chief of Staff to ex-Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala

Pastor Akinade Alamu, the immediate past Chairman of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission

Governor Makinde urged the appointees to bring loyalty, dedication, and commitment to their new roles, stressing the importance of effective governance in driving the state’s development agenda.

All appointments take immediate effect, according to the release.
