Makinde Gets 2027 Presidential Nod from Political Support Group

As political momentum begins to build ahead of the 2027 presidential election, the Brave New Vision support group has officially endorsed Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State as its preferred candidate for President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The endorsement was announced during a national press conference held on Wednesday in Lagos, with regional coordinators from the South-West, South-East, and South-South geopolitical zones in attendance.

Speaking at the event, the group’s convener, Adetokunbo Pearce, declared his unwavering support for Governor Makinde’s potential presidential bid, describing him as a unifying force with the capacity to deliver effective leadership at the national level.

He urged PDP delegates to rally behind Makinde at the party’s national convention, where the party’s presidential candidate will be selected, to throw their weight behind Makinde, whom he described as the best candidate to secure victory for the PDP in 2027.

The group emphasized that Makinde’s strength lies not just in his achievements as governor, but in the deep public trust and belief he commands across diverse regions of the country.

“Governor Makinde has consistently demonstrated visionary leadership, competence, and integrity — qualities that Nigeria urgently needs,” Pearce stated. “After a rigorous evaluation of his track record and capacity, we believe he is the strongest contender capable of defeating any candidate presented by opposing political parties.”

With the 2027 general elections on the horizon, this endorsement adds a fresh dimension to the unfolding political landscape within the PDP and the nation at large.
