Lineker and Shearer Predict Another Title Setback for Arsenal Despite Summer Reinforcements

Former England stars Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer have both voiced skepticism over Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title this season, suggesting the North London club may once again fall short in their pursuit of top-flight glory.
Under Mikel Arteta’s leadership, Arsenal have finished second in the league for the past three consecutive seasons. Determined to go one better, the Gunners have invested heavily in strengthening their squad over the summer.
The standout acquisition is Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres, brought in to provide a clinical edge in front of goal. The club have also added depth and versatility with the signings of Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, and Christian Norgaard as they aim to end their long wait for a Premier League title.
Despite the flurry of transfers, doubts remain. Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Micah Richards echoed the sentiment of his fellow pundits:
“I still don’t know if it’s enough to get them over the line. I still don’t know. I think one or two injuries and they’re back to the same as last season. So I’m going to say challenging but not champions.”
