Legendary Nigerian Musician King Sunny Ade Reported Missing
Allegations Emerge as King Sunny Ade’s Daughter Claims Music Legend Is Missing, Possibly Kidnapped

Veteran Nigerian musician and cultural icon, King Sunny Ade, has reportedly gone missing, according to alarming claims made by his daughter, Damilola Esther Adeniyi.
In a series of posts shared via her Instagram account on Monday, Damilola raised concerns about her father’s safety and well-being, expressing fears that the Juju music legend may have been kidnapped. Although she did not provide concrete evidence to support the claim, Damilola accused several individuals close to the musician—including his manager and stepson—of being involved in the alleged abduction.
According to Damilola, her last communication with her father suggested that he may be working under duress. She further alleged that the manager, identified as Dayo, alongside his mother, brothers (Demola and Kenny), and a driver named Ade, are responsible for holding King Sunny Ade against his will.
“King Sunny Ade has been kidnapped. The manager, Dayo, is the culprit, along with his mother, brothers (Demola, Kenny), and his driver, Ade,” she stated.
She also called on relevant authorities and security agencies to launch an immediate investigation into the situation to ensure the safety of the 77-year-old music legend.
As of now, no official statement has been issued by King Sunny Ade’s camp or the authorities regarding the claims.
