Kenneth Okonkwo: No Single Candidate Can Defeat Tinubu in 2027 Without a Coalition

Veteran actor and Labour Party chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo has warned that any attempt to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027 without a coalition of opposition forces would be futile.

Speaking during a political roundtable, Okonkwo emphasized the need for unity among Nigeria’s fragmented opposition.

According to him, Tinubu’s political machinery is formidable and would require a combined effort across party lines to challenge effectively. “We must come together if we are serious about saving Nigeria.

No one candidate, no matter how popular, can defeat an incumbent with a divided opposition,” Okonkwo asserted.

He also pointed out that political ego and personal ambition have historically weakened opposition parties in Nigeria.

Okonkwo called for ideological alignment rather than mere electoral alliances, urging parties to build a strong, people-centered manifesto that can resonate nationwide by 2027.
