Jermaine Pennant Issues Premier League Title Warning to Arsenal Ahead of Sunderland Clash

Former Liverpool star Jermaine Pennant has issued a cautionary note to Arsenal ahead of their Premier League trip to Sunderland this weekend.

The Gunners currently top the league table with a six-point advantage over second-placed Manchester City after ten matches, but Pennant warned that a single poor result could influence their title ambitions.

Speaking to Football London, Pennant highlighted the challenges that lie ahead for Arsenal and questioned the likelihood of an unbeaten season:

“They are 10 games in, there is another 28 games to go,” Pennant said.
“There will come a point where they may drop points. Yes, they are in the driving seat; they probably are the favourites at the moment, but there are some big games that they will have to play and conquer.
“I can’t see Arsenal going 38 games without dropping points, it is up to the rest to capitalise when they do. All it takes is one dodgy result.”

Pennant’s warning underscores the competitive nature of the Premier League, where even frontrunners must remain vigilant to maintain their grip on the title race throughout the long season.
