Ismail Vows More Assists for Super Eagles After Star Performance Against Ghana

Sodiq Ismail has expressed his desire to deliver more assists for the Super Eagles following his standout performance in their recent win over Ghana.

Eric Chelle’s team secured a 2-1 victory against the Black Stars in the Unity Cup semi-final, held at the Gtech Community Stadium in London on Wednesday night.

Ismail, who plays for Remo Stars, was instrumental in the match, providing the assist for Cyriel Dessers’ opening goal in the 14th minute with a superb cross.

In response to a video clip of the goal shared on social media platform X, which featured the commentator praising his precise delivery, Ismail humbly wrote: “First of many Insha Allah (God willing).”

Looking ahead, the Super Eagles are set to face the Reggae Boys of Jamaica in the Unity Cup final on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Ghana will face off against the Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago in the other semi-final fixture.
