Iran’s Khamenei Vows ‘No Mercy’ to Israel Amid Rising Tensions

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has delivered a forceful warning to Israel, pledging that Tehran will show “no mercy” toward the country’s leadership amid a sharp escalation in hostilities.
The statement came just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump called on Iran to surrender unconditionally, heightening an already volatile regional situation.
Posting on the social media platform X, Khamenei condemned Israel’s recent military strikes, labeling the regime a “terrorist Zionist entity” that must face a firm Iranian response. “We will not show the Zionists any mercy,” he declared, signaling a hardening of Iran’s stance.
The comments follow a week of intense conflict. Israel launched a significant bombing campaign targeting Iranian nuclear and military installations, as well as residential areas.
In retaliation, Iran fired missiles and drones at Israeli targets, and early Wednesday claimed it had deployed hypersonic missiles in a direct strike against Israel.
President Trump further escalated tensions on Tuesday, demanding Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and asserting that the United States could swiftly eliminate Khamenei if necessary.
This cycle of aggression marks a dangerous intensification in a conflict that has long simmered beneath the surface, stoking fears of a broader regional confrontation with potentially far-reaching consequences.
