Ikenne to Host 2024/25 NWFL Super Six Playoff as Title Race Heats Up

The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has officially confirmed Ikenne as the host city for the 2024/25 Super Six Playoff, the decisive tournament that will crown the new league champions.
Scheduled to run from Thursday, 8 May to Sunday, 17 May, the highly anticipated season-ending playoff will see six elite women’s teams battle it out in a round-robin format, with each side playing five matches.
Participating teams are expected to arrive in Ikenne on Thursday, 8 May. The tournament draw and pre-match briefing will be held the following day, Friday, 9 May.
Five clubs—Edo Queens, Rivers Angels, Nasarawa Amazons, Bayelsa Queens, and Remo Stars Ladies—have already secured their places in the competition. The final slot will be decided on Wednesday, following a crucial matchday 14 encounter between Robo Queens and Naija Ratels.
Edo Queens, who won their maiden NWFL title last season, will be aiming to defend their crown against a competitive field.
