Governor Bago Backs APC Candidate Jibrin for Chanchaga LG Election

Niger State Governor Mohammed Bago pledges support for Dr. Mustapha Jibrin in the upcoming Chanchaga Local Government Council elections.

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has expressed his full support for Dr. Mustapha Jibrin, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Chanchaga Local Government Council in the upcoming elections.

Governor Bago made the commitment during a courtesy visit by Dr. Jibrin and his campaign team to the governor’s liaison office in Abuja. In his remarks, Bago congratulated Dr. Jibrin on his selection as the APC flag bearer, praising his perseverance and dedication to the party.

Addressing the challenges facing Chanchaga, including security concerns, social issues, and sanitation problems, Governor Bago expressed confidence in Dr. Jibrin’s ability to address these matters effectively. He advised the candidate to develop innovative solutions to ensure the council’s development and success upon his election.

Dr. Jibrin, in response, thanked the governor for his continued support and for facilitating his emergence as the APC consensus candidate. He reiterated his commitment to promoting unity within the party and working alongside the governor to complement his administration’s efforts if elected.

He also emphasized the broad acceptance of his candidacy, noting that no petitions had been filed against him since his selection, indicating widespread support within Chanchaga.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Hadi Garkuwa Saidu, also commended the governor for his leadership in the state and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting his administration.
