Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has signed the Kaduna Mutual Accountability Framework (KaMAF) with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, marking a major step in strengthening the state’s health and agricultural sectors.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The framework is designed to enhance primary healthcare delivery, improve maternal and child health, and drive agricultural transformation through sustainable practices, increased productivity, and expanded market access. It also aims to strengthen data systems for better decision-making, monitoring, and transparent budgeting processes.
In addition, KaMAF will focus on financial and digital inclusion, with special attention to empowering women and building community resilience.
Speaking at the event, Governor Sani described the partnership as a “pivotal milestone” in Kaduna State’s development journey.
“This framework, when fully implemented, will significantly improve health outcomes, strengthen food security, and promote economic inclusion across Kaduna State,” he said.
The collaboration with the Gates Foundation underscores Kaduna’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and sustainable development, aligning with broader global goals for health and economic resilience.
