Funke Akindele Drops Trailer for New Film ‘Behind The Scenes’ Ahead of December Release
Award-winning Nollywood star Funke Akindele has unveiled the official trailer for her new feature film Behind The Scenes, a drama centred on pain, resilience, and the quiet struggles many people face but rarely voice.
The film is scheduled to open in cinemas nationwide on December 12, with Akindele promising a deeply emotional story that reflects everyday experiences often hidden behind smiles. She describes the project as a narrative about “truth, pressure, healing, and everything we don’t say out loud.”
Ahead of its general release, fans in the United Kingdom will get an exclusive first look at a London premiere on December 4 at Odeon Greenwich.
Sharing the trailer on her social media pages, Akindele wrote that some stories “don’t just entertain… they reveal the parts of us we hide,” adding that the film is for anyone who has endured silent battles or pushed through difficult moments.
The actress, known for box-office hits and character-driven storytelling, noted that Behind The Scenes aims to connect with viewers on a personal and emotional level.
The film will be available in cinemas across Nigeria from December 12, while tickets for the London premiere are already on sale.
