Nigerian music superstar and Grammy nominee David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has released a series of pre-wedding photos with his wife Chioma Rowland, building excitement ahead of their much-anticipated white wedding ceremony in Miami.
The photos, posted on Davido’s Instagram on Saturday, were captioned simply: “CHIVIDO2025” — a nod to the couple’s popular nickname and the year of their upcoming celebration.
Back in April, the award-winning singer revealed plans for their white wedding, set for August 2025, though he has yet to confirm an exact date. The pre-wedding release has since sparked a wave of support and admiration from fans across social media.
Davido first proposed to Chioma in 2019, but the relationship hit public turbulence in 2021, following unverified reports linking him to another woman. The couple, however, weathered the controversy.
Tragedy struck in October 2022 when their first son, Ifeanyi, tragically drowned at the family’s Lagos home. The heartbreaking loss cast a long shadow on their private life.
Despite the sorrow, their relationship remained strong. In March 2023, Davido confirmed during an interview that he and Chioma had legally married.
Later that year, in October 2023, the couple welcomed a set of twins in the United States — a moment of joy that followed months of grief. Their traditional wedding was held in Lagos in June 2024, surrounded by family, celebrities, and high-profile guests.
