Dalori Takes Charge as APC National Chairman Following Ganduje’s Exit

New acting chairman presides over first NEC meeting after Ganduje's resignation due to health concerns

Ali Bukar Dalori, the newly appointed Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is currently chairing the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

Dalori resumed duties on Monday morning following the resignation of former chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, who stepped down last Friday citing health-related issues.

In the wake of Ganduje’s resignation, President Bola Tinubu directed Dalori, previously the APC Vice Chairman for the North, to take over as acting chairman. Dalori hails from Borno State in Nigeria’s North-East.

His leadership begins at a critical moment for the ruling party, with internal cohesion and political strategy high on the agenda.

The ongoing NEC meeting marks Dalori’s first official engagement in his new role and is expected to set the tone for the party’s next phase as it navigates upcoming political developments and leadership restructuring.
