Curry Scores 37 as Warriors Outgun LeBron’s Lakers

Stephen Curry scored 37 points as the Golden State Warriors triumphed over LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers 123-116 in a pivotal Western Conference showdown on Thursday.

Curry, coming off a 52-point performance in the Warriors’ win over Memphis on Tuesday, sparked a game-changing third-quarter surge to help Golden State seize control and secure the victory.

Brandin Podziemski also delivered a stellar performance, draining eight of his 10 three-point attempts for a career-high 28 points, contributing to the Warriors’ fourth consecutive win.

The Lakers were led by the 40-year-old James, who scored 33 points, while Austin Reaves added 31 points, including nine three-pointers, in a thrilling fourth-quarter rally.

Curry shared his thoughts on the game, telling TNT, “We’ve set a goal of trying to elevate our play, preparing for a potential playoff series. We know every game matters as we approach the end of the season. The intensity has been insane, but that’s what you love—having something to play for is special.”

With the win, Golden State moved closer to securing an automatic playoff spot, now sitting fifth in the standings with a 45-31 record. The Lakers remain in fourth place with a 46-30 record, just behind third-place Denver (47-30).
