Court Sentences Man to 63 Years in Prison for Investment Fraud 

The Oyo State High Court in Ibadan has sentenced Olaniyan Gbenga Amos to 63 years imprisonment for orchestrating a fraudulent investment scheme that defrauded investors of over ₦1 billion. 

According to Solacebase, Justice Olusola Adetujoye found Amos guilty on multiple counts related to the fraudulent activities conducted through his company, Detorrid Heritage Investment Limited.

The court’s verdict reflects a strong stance against financial crimes and aims to deter similar fraudulent schemes in the future. 

Amos’s conviction serves as a cautionary tale for investors and underscores the importance of due diligence before engaging in investment opportunities.

It also highlights the judiciary’s role in safeguarding the financial interests of citizens.
