Chelsea concluded two player moves on transfer deadline day (Monday), announcing both an arrival and a departure.
In a club statement, the Blues confirmed the capture of Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton on a season-long loan.
In a separate announcement, Chelsea revealed that midfielder Alex Matos has completed a permanent switch to Sheffield United.
Matos, who joined Chelsea in 2023, made his first-team debut as a late substitute against Fulham last October. The 19-year-old featured prominently for the club’s Under-21 side in the first half of last season before sealing a loan move to Oxford United in January.
