Chelsea Pocket £80m from Club World Cup Run, Set Sights on Second Trophy of Season

Chelsea have reportedly earned approximately £80 million from their impressive run to the final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The Blues booked their place in Sunday’s final after a convincing 2-0 victory over Brazilian side Fluminense in Wednesday night’s semi-final. New signing Joao Pedro, who joined from Brighton for a fee of around £60 million just last week, netted both goals to secure the win for the Premier League club.
Chelsea will now face either Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid in the final as they aim to claim their second major trophy of the season, having already lifted the UEFA Conference League title.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the club’s financial success from the tournament on X, posting: “Chelsea have now earned fee close to £80m thanks to their FIFA Club World Cup performances, qualifying for the final. Excellent job by Enzo Maresca with UCL return, Conference League trophy and also perfect Club World Cup so far.”
Under new head coach Enzo Maresca, Chelsea have enjoyed a revitalized campaign both financially and competitively, with their European qualification secured and a potential second piece of silverware within reach.
