CeeC Says Fans Mistook Her Confidence for Arrogance in Nigeria

Reality TV star CeeC has opened up about how fans have often misjudged her, saying her confidence is frequently mistaken for arrogance.
Speaking on the Echo Room podcast, CeeC reflected on the challenges of living in Nigeria, where people tend to accept negative labels without getting to know the individual. She said this has affected her brand, with many assuming she is arrogant before ever meeting her.
“Usually in Nigeria, a lot of people follow the bad word. Like if somebody says, ‘Oh, this person is bad,’ people don’t even wait to experience you. They just believe it,” she explained.
“A lot of people see my confidence as being arrogant.”
CeeC emphasized that meeting her in person often changes people’s perceptions. She strives to give everyone who interacts with her a better understanding of her personality.
“You cannot meet me in person and go home saying I’m arrogant. You would definitely have a change of mindset about me,” she said.
“It has cost me a lot, because I hear some people say, ‘Oh, that one, she’s just arrogant.’ You don’t even know me. But when people give me the grace to get to know me, they will not go home feeling that way.”
CeeC’s candid remarks shed light on the pressures of public perception and the challenge of maintaining authenticity in the spotlight.
