The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has pushed back the implementation of its revised service fees to October 1, 2025, as it works to fully stabilise its upgraded Company Registration Portal (CRP).
In a statement issued on the 30th of August, the Commission said the decision was made to ensure a seamless transition and to deliver better value to its customers and stakeholders.
“The Commission has resolved to prioritise the full stabilisation of the new company registration portal before the middle of September 2025,” the statement read.
“Consequently, and in order to deliver optimum value to its various stakeholders, the Commission has further deferred the implementation of the revised fees for its services. The new fees will now come into effect on 1st October, 2025.”
The CAC emphasised that the postponement reflects its commitment to building a customer-centric, intelligent registry system that meets global best practices. It also expressed appreciation to users of the platform for their patience during the ongoing transition.
“The Commission sincerely appreciates the patience, understanding and cooperation of our customers and other stakeholders during this critical phase of transformation,” it added.
Background
In June 2025, the CAC announced plans to review certain service fees, with an initial implementation date of August 1. However, following concerns from users and challenges with the rollout of its upgraded portal, the fee changes were first postponed to September 1, and now to October 1.
The revised fees will apply to services including company registrations, document downloads, and post-incorporation filings.
What’s Next?
With the new date set, stakeholders can expect the CAC to focus on resolving technical glitches and improving platform responsiveness in the coming weeks.
The Commission said it remains committed to providing a modern and efficient registry service that supports Nigeria’s evolving business environment.
